Zanzibar pairs two very different holidays in one place — the winding, spice-scented streets of Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and beaches on the north and east coasts that need no introduction.
Dhow sailing at sunset, snorkelling over coral gardens, and spice-farm tours round out a trip that suits couples, families and solo travellers equally well, all just a direct flight from Johannesburg.
Tripzy also offers holiday packages to other incredible destinations like Seychelles, Mauritius, Bali, Zanzibar, and Mozambique.

Zanzibar, like its neighbouring island Pemba, is a long strip of land surrounded by white sand beaches, clear lagoons, and swaying palm and coconut trees. Despite sitting just off Tanzania's coast, it has its own distinct culture, shaped by centuries of Swahili, Arab, Persian and Indian trade.
Stone Town, the island's largest city, rewards slow exploration — narrow streets, carved wooden doors, and a waterfront market that's been trading spices for generations. It's easily combined with beach time on the north or east coast.
The east coast tends toward quieter, more traditional villages and powder-soft sand, while the north around Nungwi and Kendwa has a livelier resort scene with better sunset views over open water.
Zanzibar works well year-round but is at its best from June to October and December to February, avoiding the long and short rains. Tripzy's Zanzibar packages are built to suit both first-time visitors and returning regulars.
